WILL YOUR LOVING PET BE BANNED ?  

THE PROBLEM: The NSW Government wants to ban entire breeds of dogs, regardless of their individual temperaments. Such BREED SPECIFIC LEGISLATION “BSL” failed in the UK, USA and Europe. BSL doesn’t reduce the number of dog bites because it doesn’t punish aggressive individual dogs and their owners. It ignores aggressive dogs of all other breeds and cross breeds. The NSW Government is targeting pitbulls now, but they won’t stop there. The QLD Govt introduced BSL against pitbulls and already some districts have banned St Bernards, Rottweilers, Dobermans, Ridgebacks, German Shepherds and Corgis.  WILL YOUR BREED BE NEXT ?

THE SOLUTION: Tougher penalties for people who keep aggressive dogs and public education. European countries that have introduced this solution have dramatically reduced dog bites.   

ACT NOW ! Contact politicians and news media. Tell them you want 

* laws that will keep aggressive dogs of ALL breeds off the street

* tougher penalties for people who keep aggressive dogs

* more public education on responsible dog ownership

* school based education for kids (many dog bites happen in the home)

Remind them BSL has not worked in other countries, it won’t work here

Remember - Bad owners make bad dogs.

All dogs have teeth and can bite if not raised properly.
